I was born in Chicago, IL. At a young age, I developed a passion for musical theatre and lightsabers. Not much has changed in that department. At fourteen, I began high school at Tabor Academy, a small boarding school located in Marion, Massachusetts.
While at Tabor, I was the recipient of the Pandolfi Music Scholarship which provided me with four years of voice lessons. I toured New York City, Chicago, and St. Petersberg, Florida with the Madrigal Singers, a mixed voices a capella group. I also toured England and Wales with Tabor's production of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown as Lucy. I directed a production of Mary Zimmerman's Metamorphoses and created a one woman cabaret titled Musical Mayhem. I was a member of the Southeastern Massachusetts District Chorus in 2002 and 2003 and the Massachusetts All-State Chorus in 2003. In 2004, I was also a finalist in the Southeast District Massachusets Shakespeare Competition. At graduation, I won awards for Greatest Contribution to Choral Music and Greatest Contribution to Drama.
My senior year, I was accepted to my first choice college, NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and the following fall I began my primary studio training at Playwrights Horizons Theater School where I studied acting, directing, design, musical theater, dance, and creating original work.
For my advanced studio training, I was a member of the Playwrights Horizons Acting Practicum for one year before I applied and was accepted to study at the Experimental Theater Wing. At ETW, I took courses on acting, contact improvisation, creating original work, and singing/vocal composition. Between semesters, I studied long-form improvisation at i.O. Chicago and performed on the main stage in the Del Close Theatre. In addition, I studied stand-up comedy and performed at The Comic Strip.
Not only have I been involved in creating new work onstage, but I have worked on various new media projects online as well. I am one of the creators/writers of O-Cast, a webseries about the Greek gods living in NYC. I am also a creator/writer for This is Art, a webseries about the postgraduate misadventures of a kooky avant garde performance artist and a Broadway-or-bust diva grasping at validation in the NYC art scene. My voice acting work can be heard in the acclaimed World of Warcraft Machinima "Jack Presents Icecrown Citadel" and I can be heard as the cool, villainous voice of Kate Madigan in the Forward Momentum Productions sci-fi audio drama, Bubblegum Crisis.
When I'm not performing or writing projects, I am a tour guide at Radio City Music Hall, an avid gamer, a frequent moviegoer, and a Staff Writer/Guest Host for The Anomaly Podcast The Anomaly Podcast, a program with a female perspective on Sci-fi and Fantasy.
